INAUGURAL PANDA FEST BRINGS NATIONAL ASIAN FOOD AND CULTURE FESTIVAL TO SAVANNAH OCT. 16–18

Savannah, GA, Sept. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Panda Fest, one of the largest outdoor Asian food and culture festivals in the United States, will make its Savannah debut during the weekend of     Oct. 16–18, 2026, at Tanger Outlets Savannah, 200 Tanger Outlets Blvd. in Pooler.

This three-day, family-friendly festival will bring together more than 80 Asian food vendors offering over 200 street-food selections, alongside more than 20 merchandise vendors, live cultural entertainment, interactive activities and plenty of panda-themed fun.

Designed as an immersive celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander cultures, Panda Fest combines food, art, entertainment and cultural experiences in a lively outdoor festival environment. Visitors will be able to sample dishes ranging from traditional favorites to contemporary street-food creations, shop for Asian-inspired merchandise and experience cultural performances and family activities throughout the weekend.

“Savannah is such a vibrant, welcoming city, and we are very excited to bring Panda Fest to the Coastal Empire for the first time,” said Xuan ‘BiuBiu’ Xu, founder of Panda Fest. “Our goal is to create an experience where people can come together, discover incredible food, enjoy Asian culture in a fun and accessible way, and leave having experienced something they may not find anywhere else.”

In addition to well known and loved local food and merchandise vendors, Panda Fest will bring national brands to Savannah. Among the featured food vendors scheduled to participate are New York-based Chan Bai Mei, known for candied hawthorn or tanghulu; King Squids, serving its secret-recipe king squid; Mumu Sweets, featuring mochi donuts; and Dumpling King. Additional vendors will be announced closer to the festival and local companies are invited to apply for space at Savannah’s latest festival.

Panda Fest will also feature dozens of activities and merchandise vendors selling a wide range of panda-themed and Asian-inspired items including art, jewelry, accessories, handmade goods and collectibles. Entertainment will include Asian cultural performances, interactive programming and the “Panda Bounce House”, with the full performance schedule to be announced closer to the event.

Launched in 2024, Panda Fest has quickly grown from a one-day event into a multi-day touring festival with events in cities including Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Dallas, Seattle, Austin, Charlotte, Nashville, San Diego, Houston, Indianapolis, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Orlando. The festival has welcomed hundreds of thousands of attendees and continues to expand nationally. Pandas serve as a playful central theme throughout the experience, appearing in inflatables, games, merchandise, activities and food offerings.
